Elder Bob Bays and Sharyn

Bob was raised in New Albany and started working at age 9 as a caddy at the New Albany Country Club. He graduated from New Albany High School in 1964 and attended Spencerian College where he studied computers. Bob retired from Colgate-Palmolive Company in 2001 after 35 years.

Bob was raised in a Presbyterian Church. He received Christ and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at an Assembly of God Church during the 1970’s. Bob and Sharyn came to Covenant during the 1990’s. Here at Covenant he has served in the Nursery, as a Deacon, and as an overseer to the property and grounds, finances of the church and preschool. He is also in charge of the use of the buildings as well as a member of the Covenant Advisory Board.

He and his wife Sharyn were married in 1967and live in Jeffersonville. They have 6 children and blessed with many grandchildren.

 

Elder David Bottomley and Karen

D&K Bottomly
David Bottomley and his wife Karen came to Covenant Life Church in 2002. They were raised in Christian homes, and grew up in denominational churches. David’s salvation experience in 1982 radically transformed his life and kingdom focus. He is confident the prayer and intercession of others led to his personal move to God.

The Bottomleys believe the foundation of time in the Word, prayer, and fasting are imperative to walking in God’s power and victory. David serves in the ministries of Prayer, Fasting, Altar Team, Men’s Ministry, and Missions. He is on the board of a non profit ministry in Uganda and Kenya www.empower-a-child.org which seeks to save the lost, while also clothing and feeding orphans, as well as many other facets of ministering God’s word and love. The Bottomleys are blessed with six beautiful children, and the added blessings of grandchildren.

 

Elder Ryan Brace and Julia


Ryan Brace was born to Apostle Rex and Kathy Brace in 1977 and was the first child born into Covenant Life Church. Ryan has been married to his wife, Julia Poe Brace, since December 8th 2001. God has richly blessed them with two wonderful children, Lily and Elijah.

Prior to serving as elder, Ryan served a year as head deacon and for many years as deacon over our SEAL team. Ryan is actively involved with the Kingdom Men’s ministry and is a part of the CLC Finance Team. Julia has been apart of the CLC praise and worship team for many years, served in children’s ministry and has acted as planning coordinator for many church events.

Ryan and Julia desire to serve the CLC body however they are called. The Word of the Lord tells us “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” (1 Peter 4:10 NLT)

 

Elder David Sanders and Carol


David Sanders, his wife Carol and their son Ethan started attending Covenant Life Church in 2004. They had recently relocated from Cincinnati and searched for several weeks to find a church that operated fully in the gifts and showed Christ’s love. They came once and found their new home. David’s primary gifting is in the Apostolic. He has overseen the finances of the church since 2007 and is now over Covenant Life Childcare, and CLC Media. Carol’s primary gifting is Prophetic and works in the church office.

In addition to their work at CLC David and Carol own a real estate and land development company, Sanders Development. David is also a registered professional engineer. David and Carol grew up in Perry County Indiana, near Tell City and both graduated from Perry Central Community School.
